  First Date
Last night Kate danced with the At-Neemrah dancers at Mezze. And I do not mean that they came up to her and asked her to dance with them. Laura Armenta recently lost one of her dancers and asked Kate to join the troupe. She did one dance with Laura, which she did really well, and then the end of performance group dance.

There is another girl that Laura has picked to sometimes fill this vacancy. She is completely new to belly dancing but is studying dance at GVSU. She was there alone and I was there with no one to sit with so we sat together. It was like a first date without any of the ackwardness. I asked all of the getting to know you questions and had to answer the same. It was not wierd at all for me but the situation was wierd.

Comments:
I know exactly the situation you are talking about. My experience with it was at a wedding Susan was in for her good friend, Janice. I spent several occasions throughout the wedding weekend chatting with Betsy the hair dresser because everyone else was engaged in the actual wedding production deal. It was a weird situation without being uncomfortable. And it had that same first date feeling of getting to know someone with very little chance that you'll ever need to know all this information.

I'm glad to hear Kate's new dancing gig is going well. Maybe she should have a blog where she could tell us all about it?
